Tom Drury , Principle
For more than 20 years Tom has been a successful technology entrepreneur. During this period he has successfully led the startup and management of several entrepreneurial, high technology ventures. In June 2000, Tom transferred this experience to the venture capital business, and is currently the Managing Director of BaseCamp I.
During his career, Tom has developed broad expertise in the start up, financing and management of entrepreneurial, technology businesses. He combines a proven, hands-on, customer-focused CEO background with solid marketing, product development, finance, operating, and leadership skills.
In addition, Tom Drury has a deep technical understanding of varied hardware, software, telecommunications, and web technologies.
From 1995 until joining BaseCamp in 2000, Tom was the President & CEO of Sensar, Inc., a prominent, New Jersey based venture capital and strategic partner financed technology company developing optical hardware and software products for the biometrics industry.
Tom currently serves as the President & CEO of Voxware, a public voice logistics company, based in Lawrenceville, NJ. He also serves on the board of several early stage companies, is an Advisory Board Member of the Ben Franklin Technology Partnership, and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's Seed Loan Program.
